El Paso, TX
I am a retired University lecturer. My avocation, however, for some 40 years has been photographer. My wife and I love to travel - usually with our little travel trailer RV behind us, but we have made some wonderful journeys over the past half dozen years. We went to Peru and Ecuador where we saw and photographed the plains of Nazca, Machu Picchu, a bit of the Amazon rainforest, and of course, The Galapagos. Less than a year later we spent two weeks driving around England (her birthplace.)
In 2012, we traveled to France. We began on The Cote d'Azur, please see my panoramic views of the beaches at Cannes and Antibes. The main attraction of this trip was a week on a river cruise ship from Arles to Macon. Later we were able to spend a couple of days in Paris.
In January 2014, we spent more than a week on the Amazon River and its headwaters above Iquitos, Peru. I am in the process of entering the best of these images into the Peru Gallery. I urge you to check my newest gallery Floating Shanty Town for some views of a fascinating part of the city of Iquitos, Peru.
On March 26 - May 22, 2015, I will have two photographs on display at the Hal Marcus Gallery in El Paso, Texas as part of an exhibit benefiting The El Paso Vegetarian Society. The exhibit is titled, 'All You Can Eat.' My images are part of my 'Markets' gallery here on FAA - 'Dallas Farmers Market 2' and 'Market - Cusco Peru.'
